Teaching English as a Second Language is a special thing to do! It provides students with an opportunity to express themselves fully using the English language, and also provides a beautiful, cross cultural opportunity for learning – for both teacher and student!

With experience teaching adults ESL online and in person, I bring experience, a friendly attitude and an open and respectful outlook. Let’s learn together and help you reach your goals.
As an English Literature & Education Studies BA Honours graduate, an MA Journalism graduate, an experienced journalist and copywriter, and a language teacher, I am passionate about the English language. Feedback & Student Reviews
I have worked with individuals in both Japan and Kenya as an ESL teacher, and it has been a pleasure to teach them and support their language development. All the feedback I receive is greatly appreciated and I am always pleased to hear how our sessions have helped individuals in their daily lives.
Alison was also a great teacher with a very nice personality. I was surprised at how easy it was to understand her lesson notes. I would like to use the lesson notes to learn more about the language and culture and prepare for my trip to England!
— Manami, Japanese adult learner
Alison’s connection with the children was good. While she was here she set up two penpal exchanges with schools in England. One for the younger children and one for the older children. This was a really lovely experience because it will improve the children’s literacy and communication skills.
She patiently helped children in solving problems. She is energetic, flexible and dedicated to her work and has a great motivation to help children.
